Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of The Piper At The Gates of Dawn
‘Pink Floyd, formed in 1960s by Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Rick Wright and Nick Mason, are considered as one of the greatest proponents of psychedelic-art rock that enthralled fans and critics worldwide with their evocative lyrics and imaginative concepts. In the later years after their greatest album The Dark Side of The Moon in 1973, Pink Floyd became an iconic band in the history of rock with its signature stage shows, avant-garde progressive music, sonic experimentation and existential lyrics. Though much of the interest in their style of music lies in the later albums, the beginning of their career and the successive albums that came out before 1973, are truly masterpieces cut in gold and often reminisce with images of a pre-industrial Britain with implicit tension between lives in evolving societies in contrast to the pastoral.’
