The Alphabets of the Sun

The sun is the main source of food and energy. The sun is like honey-it helps bees deflower the fresh virgins of the spring. “Light is root, water its sprout; in the same way, that Being is root, Light its sprout. All creatures have their root in that Being. He is their rock, their home. Man becomes thirsty. Light brings the water to his gullet, as cowherd his cow, horsemen his horse, general his army”. (Chhandogya-Upanishad). The divine creation of light described in Genesis as opposed to darkness is one easy way of separating the grain from the chaff but, at the same time light itself is the bride of darkness. Darkness and light are profound and beautiful, they inspire and instill poets with fervent thoughts of grand eloquence as in “Do not go gentle into that good night…/Rage, rage against the dying of light”.
