The Mandala in the Sun

Designs/Paintings by Renowned artist Samij Datta - inspired by the works of Pink Floyd

The Mandala in the Sun

The Mandala in the Sun

With inspiration from:-

The circular disc with concentric circles radiating from the centre depicts the concentration of energy in the sun. It’s also the time-clock that alters day and night and the cycle of seasons. The disc is the sacred space that constitutes the harmony of the universe by complementing good with evil; creation with destruction; love with hatred The union of the yin & yang emanates from the heart of the sun. The energy released comes from fusion of the atomic nuclei of hydrogen to form helium. Light and day; spring and winter are concentric circumferences of complementary circles with one controlling centre at the heart of the sun.

Fusion - the very word evokes the marriage of extremes; the past and the present, the sciences and the arts, the intellectual and the spiritual. ArtVantage celebrates the fusion of great cultural streams such as here with the forging of links between the visual arts and music - to help define the culture of the future.
