Mescaline Barrett

Syd Barrett (1946-2006) , the former singer, songwriter and guitarist of Pink Floyd is one of the most influential persons in the business of rock music who defined the nature of psychedelia with his whimsical, existential and nursery rhyme-like songs. Barrett, who never publicly appeared for the last 35 years of his life before his death in 2006, is the key creative force behind the success of early Pink Floyd. He sang at will musing on the scarecrow that “stood with a bird on his hat and straw everywhere” completely oblivious of the material world on the brink of politicizing its masses like commodities.
